It all began in 2006 when our owner and founder Magdalena von Rosen turned her dream of running a holiday cottage business into reality. Since then, Stockholm Archipelago Cottages has grown from its small beginnings into a fully-fledged company, offering wonderful holiday accommodation to guests from around the world. The mixture of backgrounds and perspectives we experience when meeting our guests is what keeps our work particularly rewarding.

One of our key priorities is to keep up with the latest developments and trends within both the field of tourism and within the Stockholm Archipelago itself. Thanks to the fact that we are also lucky enough to make our home in this wonderful area, our reserves of knowledge and experience are updated on a daily basis. We are always delighted to share the secrets of Stockholm Skärgård with our guests, while keeping in mind that the archipelago represents a delicate ecosystem in need of protection. Sustainable tourism lies at the heart of our company, which is why we prefer to utilize existing properties in our business rather than building new cottages for holiday accommodation.

We consider the personal touch to be one of the key defining aspects of our business – and it is also the reason for the high levels of satisfaction among both our guests and the property owners we work with. The guests who return to us, year after year, are a testament to our success in prioritizing guest satisfaction. Likewise, some of our property owners have been with us since the company started in 2006.
